Testimonials

"After working with Eve, there were huge improvements with our son's eating. Eve helped us work out a customised schedule to suit our needs that changed our son from what we thought was a fussy eater to a far more flexible eater! It made the eating experience so much more enjoyable and less of a dreaded task for all of us."  -S & B, Neutral Bay

'Jordan is going really well. Since seeing you I am not worried about him and he has taken your advice very seriously. We were worried that if we let him take charge of his eating, that it would get worse, but much to our surprise it has improved and he really tries to make sure he is having the right number of serves of the right food groups. We are all much happier.' -Janelle

"Just an update for you (we saw you a couple of weeks ago):--
Max has really been doing GREAT with his food in the last 2 weeks; trying everything from fruits he never liked, to eating lots of cheese/meat/eggs and eating more family meals with us. He even snuck 2 yoghurts from the fridge and insisted I open them for him to eat, so he's really developing a much better appetite for food in general..." -Mandy D.

'We met about 3 weeks ago regarding my daughter. Your advice was great and things are going very well. We stuck to the appointed meal times, and Jas is eating a more balanced meal than before. Thank you for your help' -Ling from Killarney Heights.

'Isaac is actually eating so much better and I took your advice on cooking one meal that we all eat together, instead of cooking specifically for him.
He has actually put on 1 kilo in the last few weeks so I am so happy. Thank you again for your help and advice it really helped me.' -Fiona

The comments below are from participants in the Familyfoodworks group talks:

'Dear Eve, thank you for your wonderful presentation last Wednesday evening! I'm sure everyone enjoyed the interesting (and suprising) information you discussed as much as I did. We look forward to seeing you again for another presentation perhaps next year.'

"Very interesting discussion – good to hear others' ideas."

'A good springboard for healthy discussion.'

'I liked the ability to discuss personal situations in relation to meal habits.'

"Received great information , great to share everyone’s stories.."

'I got a lot out of it – the idea of offering them ( the children) our food and that when they are hungry they’ll start to eat it. I won't be making spaghetti bolognaise for my daughter every night any more.'

"I feel so relieved that my toddler is eating a healthy diet and learning good eating habits now before it's too late."

'Your lectures have helped me immensely and I would highly recommend them to anyone with a young child that isn't feeling confident about what they are eating, when they are eating and how much they are eating.'

'An added benefit is that I'm also making sure Mum and Dad are eating better as well.'

"Thank you Eve!
My son (who is just 5 years old) has been a fussy eater most of his life until I changed the way I approach our mealtimes based on what you taught me. After an initial settling in period he has begun to eat a massive variety of foods and mealtimes are no longer as stressful. I cook only ONE meal now, for both of us. As a single parent that significantly increases my availability and time of an evening.
The lessons I learnt are invaluable in helping me to confidently feed my child in a healthy and stress-free way.
Now that you've shown me how, it's not even that hard!
Thanks again for an educational and extremely useful session." -Alena from Maroubra

Hi Eve,

I attended one of your talks and just wanted to let you know how helpful it has been. My 15 month old was only eating savory food if disguised as a sandwich and was reluctant to eat finger food and vegies.

Since your talk, I have been making sure that we eat with him, have been presenting a variety of foods to him at each meal and allowing him to choose what he wants to eat. Inevitably he starts with his favourite food and when it runs out, he has proceeded to try the other available food.

Last night he started with sweet potato, followed by some roast beef, then started to point at the salad bowl and for the first time enjoyed tomato, nibbled at cucumber, experimented with a taste of lettuce, touched a snow pea and licked a piece of carrot. To date, he has turned his nose up at the texture of grains (cous cous, rice etc.), but asked to try the rice on my plate and then went back for more. Finally, he requested the honey dew melon we were eating as dessert - breakthrough!!

He is really enjoying the social aspect of eating and isn't even asking to get out of his high chair. If anything, he is starting to worry me that he is going the other way. He just doesn't seem to stop eating unless I remove him from the table.

Thank you for your advice. At the time, I really wasn't convinced that it would work, but he has changed his habits soooo quickly.

Kind Regards,
Leanne Arber
